It’s not every day you get to see a horse talk, so we were especially proud to produce this ad. Rafalca is, of course, Ann Romney’s Olympic dressage horse. Not only did CBS News, NPR and CNN cover what Anne’s mare had to say–Michelle Malkin took time out of her busy schedule to attack our spot and accuse Art Not War of “Rafalca Derangement Syndrome.” (Don’t worry, we checked it out and are pretty sure it’s not contagious).

Given Mitt Romney’s constant lies and distortions, comparing him to Richard Nixon was an inevitability. Art Not War blushed with pride when CBS news dubbed this “one of the harshest ads of 2012.” Bolstered by coverage from ABC and The Nation, our humble ad gave birth to the meme “Tricky Mitt” and amplified the call for Mitt Romney to, maybe someday, release his tax returns.
